Achievement Portfolios

Achievement Portfolio

An example of an Achievement Portfolio.

In Room 12, the Achievement Portfolio is the main way that I will communicate your student’s achievements throughout the year and document their successes.

Every 2-3 weeks, your student will bring home their Achievement Portfolio. Inside the Portfolio, you’ll find examples of projects, assignments, and activities that your student has finished in the classroom.

I ask that you review your student’s marks, sign the tracking sheet, and return the portfolio and marked work back to the school. The Portfolio will allow you and I to easily track your student’s achievements throughout the year and marked work will be sent home at the end of Term 1 to be kept in your own records at home, or recycled.

Remember, a mark doesn’t have to be final. Assessment is ongoing all year long. If your student would like to “retry” an assessment it’s their job ask me to try it again. They’re always welcome to try again with a similar assessment but since it’s Grade 4, and we’re building responsible learners, I ask that they ask me themselves.

Of course, if you have any questions about anything you find in your student’s Achievement Portfolio please feel free to get in touch with me!
